Formed by brothers Lugui and Pedrão, Cat Dealers are among the top three most influential DJs/Producers emerging from Brazil music scene, branding them as one of the hottest music exports in the national electronic sphere. Voted number 74 in the ‘DJ Mag Top 100’ list, the duo have already amassed more than 140 million YouTube channel plays as well as millions more on Soundcloud, Spotify, Deezer and other streaming platforms.
The brothers’ first major hit came in March 2016 as their remix of Tom Novy’s ‘Your Body’ quickly became viral on YouTube, gaining more than 80 million views. Following this the duo collaborated on ‘Gravity’ with Evokings and Magga, passing the 23 million streams mark on Spotify and securing 5th spot in the ‘Brazil Viral 50’ and 28thin the ‘Global Viral 50’.
Further proving their talents as production masters, their hit ‘Sober’ also entered the ‘Brazil Viral 50’ alongside a collaboration with Felguk for their official remix of Vanessa de Mata’s ‘Ai Ai Ai’. Another of their tracks, ‘Sunshine’ surpassed 15 million streams on Spotify alone, entering the ‘Top 200 Brazil’ chart in 75thspot and ‘Top 200 Poland’ in 25th.
Performing locally, the duo have delivered outstanding sets at some of the most iconic Brazilian festivals such as Lollapalooza 2018, Rock In Rio and ULTRA Brazil as well as electronic parties Kaballah, Só Track Boa and Rio Music Carnival. Having also played across Asia, Mexico, Spain and South Africa, Cat Dealers are quickly building a strong international presence and with a major appearance scheduled for Festival de Barretos 2018 as well as supporting Shakira on her Brazil tour, the pair’s career is steam-rolling into quick maturity.
Over the coming months, Cat Dealers will continue their globetrotting adventures as they gear up for a scheduled tour across China, Mexico and Uruguay, further concreting their ever growing status in the electronic music industry.
