Moguai

Not many artists can claim to have had their start in the anarchic arena of Punk. One who can is Andre Tegeler, more commonly known to the electronic world at large as Moguai. An advocate of the punk-riot-music explosion that was sweeping Western Europe, he was already making considerable waves when the rumbling tremors of 90’s electro and techno began to reverberate.

COMING UP: WE AR LYVE, Moguai’s debut album released this year, was the first non-Deadmau5 release on Mau5trap recordings – an instant seal of approval. Nyce was used as a remix competition through Mau5trap, and was the most successful competition that DJ Download ever hosted. Moguai has been touring across Europe and America, as well as prepping for the next single ‘Oyster’ and working on his next artist album.

Founded in 2004, Mixmash Records started out as a label primarily focused on label head honcho Laidback Luke's own releases. Serge’s early electronic career is starting to be marked with the achievements of a seasoned veteran. He hit the coveted DJ Mag Top 100 List, became the youngest resident DJ at New York’s legendary Crobar and has rapidly garnered major corporate support. His music is stylistically diverse and transcends the boundaries of the genre; adding up to a hard-hitting, riveting, but classically beautiful sound that is way more than just electronic.

If success is magnetic by nature, this year’s outlook promises to be nothing short of spectacular for burgeoning DJ/Producer Kramnik. A non-conformist and a proud of it, Tocadisco’s unique vision and primed production talents have placed as one of electronic music’s biggest players. 2009, has seen Roman Boer (aka Tocadisco) start his own label, re-write the radio rulebook and leap an enormous fourteen places in the prestigious DJ Mag Top 100 poll, things couldn’t be much better for the man who also managed to find the time to take the ultimate plunge and get married.

Laidback Luke

Laidback Luke has fast become one of the world most popular underground house luminaries. After storming the internet with dozens of remixes and tracks, Luke released Super You&me, a diverse and rip-roaring ride into all manners of house music – it served as a direct window into Luke’s parties of the same name, that have landed everywhere from London to Miami and have earned him a residency at Cream, Amnesia in Ibiza. Never content and always striving for a new sound, Luke nurtures and advises talent through his website forum, where he scouted young bloggers favourite Avicii, who mixed CD2 of the smash compilation earlier this year. Bob Sinclar
