Alex Hosking is a sassy Australian singer/songwriter who has garnered success in her music through authentic and free-spirited pop lyrics and melodies and a supreme work ethic. 

While the world has been stopped in its tracks for the first half of 2020, the whirlwind that is Alex’s brilliantly catchy and cheeky song writing has been gathering more and more momentum. 

Her current single Fake Friends written with New York DJ PS1 has hit over 17 million streams worldwide since release and has had regular radio play across the globe, notably BBC1 and Capital Records in the UK (including VIP plays on ‘Dance Anthems’ and opening the ‘Party Anthems’ show,) and LA’s KIIS FM (117 plays and 11 million+ impacts). 

This has the song making the top 10 in several UK dance charts, as well as breaking into the top 10 in the UK Shazam charts (#6 currently) and securing airplay on KIIS FM in Los Angeles. 

Cementing Alex as a global player, she has also released songs in 2020 with New Zealand’s QUIX (DIM MAK), Dutch DJs Bart B More and De Hofnar as well as past releases with The McClymonts, Lucas and Steve, Zonderling, Moguai, Tom Ferry, Belle Lucia and Karma Fields.

Such broad appeal has seen her songs being added to 30,000 Spotify playlists and her monthly Spotify plays reach over 1M streams. 

As well as collaborating with a variety of local and international producers, Alex released her debut single for her solo project Monsters in late 2019 which was warmly received and supported by triple j.

Alex continues to pivot and collaborate with leading artists throughout the globe and stays in demand from her corner of Australia. Whilst being back in Adelaide, South Australia she is writing and recording songs for her debut single titled Playing Up a song that was based on Alex’s personal experiences from a dark and troubled relationship. The single was produced by Adelaide producer Israel Amoy and Los Angeles based producer, Berkay Birecikli and is scheduled for independent release in late 2020.

With so many projects already under her belt worldwide in the dance and pop markets, her prolific writing and ability to jump seamlessly from genre to genre has resulted in a back catalogue of over one thousand songs in the past 4 years. 

With many more momentous releases to come, Alex is one of the most exciting and diverse young talents in the music business who is quickly picking up steam and certainly one to watch in the coming years.
