Since its inception in 2018, Ophelia Records has continually exercised its far-reaching tastemaking capability. Earlier this year, Outwild (now formerly known as Inukshuk) stamped his debut mark on Seven Lions‘ label with the release of his six-track EP, Everbright. A full four months later, with further Ophelia Records appearances including “Alive” and his recent Wallflower EP in the rearview, Outwild is going back to the forefront of summer to expand his debut label release.
Signaling his first output since officially rebranding in September in an effort to be more socially conscious and accentuate the environmental inspirations around him, Outwild appends four distinct adaptations to the EP’s standout cut, “The Way You Are,” with The Ready Set. Outwild makes the EP’s renewal more than worthwhile, tapping newcomers including Vaance, N3WPORT, Miles Away, and Awakend to reinvigorate the original with healthy additions of melodic temperament.
