George Maple

Born in Australia and currently based in L.A., George Maple is a 26-year-old singer, songwriter, and producer who combines exceptional melodic songwriting with forward-thinking electronic production. Drawing on silky R&B, seductive grooves, and timeless pop music, Maple cites musicians such as Prince, Madonna, Timbaland, Arca, and Caribou as inspirations — artists who were always at the cutting edge with both their songwriting and their production. “I love thought-provoking songwriting,” she says, “I admire balance between lyrics, melody, sonics, and energy.”

Maple’s debut EP, Vacant Space, arrived via esteemed Australian pop label Future Classic (Flume, Chet Faker) in 2014, followed up with last year’s single “Where You End And I Begin” and “Gemini”, her monster collaboration with What So Not. Behind the scenes, Maple assists and writes for other artists. Her writing and production credits include artists like Hayden James, Snakehips, Flight Facilities, Flume, and Tkay Maidza, racking up over 70 million Soundcloud plays across the board. In the studio, Maple takes on an executive producer role, having direct involvement with every element of the songwriting and production process.

As a live performer, Maple has sold out shows across Australia, in L.A. and in London, appeared at Coachella, Lollapalooza, and The Warehouse Project, and performed alongside the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and Flight Facilities. Maple’s captivating performances feature Maple’s breathtaking voice accompanied by live electronics, moving from ecstatic, energetic highs, soul shaking bass and moments of honest raw intimacy.
