Lifebeat, Music Fights HIV/AIDS, founded in 1992, is the leading national nonprofit dedicated to educating America’s youth (13-29) about HIV/AIDS prevention. Lifebeat mobilizes the talents and resources of the music industry to deliver HIV/AIDS and STDs awareness messages through broadcast, print, social and digital media, and distributes educational literature and condoms at concert venues, music festivals, clubs and other events. Lifebeat also provides quality of life services and support, such as musical performances, for people living with HIV/AIDS and their families.

LIFEBEAT'S #MUSICFIGHTSAIDS MOBILIZES MUSIC & MEDIA LEADERS FOR WORLD AIDS DAY CAMPAIGN & SPECIAL EVENT FEATURING A-TRAK & FEDDE LE GRAND

In honor of World AIDS Day, December 1st, some of the biggest names in the music and media industry are partnering with Lifebeat, Music Fights HIV/AIDS to draw urgent attention to the dramatic rise in HIV among young people ages 13-24.

On November 26th, Lifebeat will kick-off #MusicFightsAIDS, a multi-faceted campaign that will bring together a coalition of major media outlets, celebrities, DJs, music venues, and online music distributors, to support Lifebeat’s efforts to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS among youth. Partners will feature PSAs, print and banner ads, editorial content on websites, and targeted messages on social media platforms. Visual messages in support of #MusicFightsAIDS will be displayed every two minutes on nine jumbo screens in the heart of Times Square reaching more than 2 million people daily.
